Magnesite, seawater magnesia and dolomite as raw materials, periclase as the main crystal phase, magnesium oxide content of more than 80% of the refractory material. Belongs to alkaline refractory materials.
Its products can be divided into two categories of metallurgical magnesia and magnesium products. According to the chemical composition and use, it can be divided into metallurgical magnesia, magnesia brick, magnesia silica brick, magnesia alumina brick, magnesia calcium brick, magnesia carbon brick and other varieties. Its performance is greatly affected by the CaO/SiO2 ratio and impurities. The load softening point and thermal shock resistance of high purity magnesia bricks are much better than those of ordinary magnesia bricks. It has high refractoriness and good resistance to alkaline slag and iron slag. It is an important high-grade refractory material. Magnesia products are mostly produced by sintering method, and the sintering temperature is generally between 1500 and 1800 ℃. In addition, chemical bonding agent can also be added to make unfired bricks and unshaped refractories. It is mainly used in flat hearth furnace, electric furnace, oxidation converter, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace, cement kiln and calcination kiln of alkaline refractory materials.
Because the main producing area of magnesite is the southern region of Liaoning, namely Liaoning Haicheng City, Dashiqiao City, Xiuyan County, Fengcheng City and other places. Therefore, the region is rich in magnesia refractory raw materials-magnesia, including fused magnesia and sintered magnesia, is currently the world's most abundant reserves of the region, there are many local production of magnesia refractory enterprises.
